Nintendo TVii Shutting Down Next Month - News
by Craig S , posted on 24 July 2015 / 4,879 ViewsNintendo has announced that is shutting down its Nintendo TVii service next month, on August 11th.
Nintendo TVii could be used to browse TV shows and their listings, and also provided an access point to TV content providers such as Netflix and Amazon Prime. It also boasted Wii U GamePad support, with the GamePad offering a second screen experience.
It seems, however, that Nintendo TVii did not prove popular enough and Nintendo has now decided to move its resources on to other projects. You can access the 'End of Service' FAQs for Nintendo TVii here.

It was fun playing along with sports. But other than that? Never used it.
Ignoring it was redundant. They could of tired to preload the guide so it didn't have to buffer each time you started it up.
Can't say I'm gonna miss it. I never used this feature. :P
Just before the NFL season starts up again. Shame.
Here in Australia it never worked to begin with
I couldn't figure out how to set it up so I never used it :/
Goodbye Nintendo TVii, I don't think you will be miss by a lot of people but it is what it is.
People even watch TV anymore? I mean in general.
To be fair, they didn't do enough with it to make it memorable or worth the set up. Much like the Xbox One with kinect support it was neat not exactly a game changer like many would have hoped though.
Should just announce WiiU shutting down as well.
Damn, sucks to be the 5 people that used this feature
2 of the 5 didn't like your comment! Who knew they would be on this forum.
3 now! I wonder if the other 2 are here as well
The 2 others showed up now! XD
