Rumor: Nintendo NX to Launch July 2016 - News

Nintendo will be launching its next console - currently codenamed the NX - in July 2016, according to a source who spoke with DigiTimes.
The source stated that Foxconn and Pegatron are both trying to get the rights to manufacture the console. Pilot production will start this October, while mass production of the console is expected to start in May or June 2016, ahead of a console launch in July.
Nintendo is planning to ship 20 million NX consoles in its first year. That is more than double what the Wii U has been able to do in two and a half years. It's also more than the PlayStation 4 managed - it took Sony 17 months to ship 22.3 million units.

So fake it burns
If it actually launches in July, it'll already be a huge mistake. Wait for the holiday season, otherwise your setting yourself up for failure.
this is why you didnt see zelda wiiU it will port to NX.... nintendo will put they money on that to sell they console!
Yeah...that seems a wee bit sudden. And those sales projections are pretty out there--it would have to be a godlike console to come anywhere near those numbers in the first year.
I call bullshit.
A soft launch is not a bad idea. Give the console some time to consolidate a userbase going into the holiday.
We still do not know what NX is. At this time it is possible that NX is a PC platform that will compete with Steam, Origin and GOG. Maybe the next NX leak can provide useful information about what NX actual is, instead of an arbitrary release date that anyone could come up makeup in less that a minute.
Sounds too good to be true so probably fake.
Well I doubt they will do it in July much like they always take the press time before E3 opens the floor, they always launch their consoles in November, in the US, for better or worse. And from what I have read about the source they are better at more reasonable rumors, these raise your eyebrow rumors a almost always false.
October-November would be a far more believable month than what they're suggesting here.
