Ubisoft: Watch Dogs Team Given What "They Wanted" Following E3 Showing - News
by Brent Galietti , posted on 03 March 2013 / 3,240 ViewsWatch Dogs was the star of the show for many attendants of E3. The open-world gunplay meets hacking game got a lot of exposure at the event. Not only did that garner fans for the title, it also made the scope of the Watch Dogs project much larger.
Speaking to MCV, Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot mentions that:
"E3 was a great revelation for Watch Dogs. It gave us a chance to increase the whole project, giving the studio the chance to have bigger teams to help them achieve this goal they have."
"You always have great ideas, but you need enough people to bring it to life. After E3, we really made sure they had all the teams they needed and all the capacity they wanted to fulfil their dream.
"It’s an open world, that is well-adapted to what people want to play today. So there’s good potential for success."
It seems the only boundary on Watch Dogs now is the imagination of the developers (or an extremely large budget number).
Watch Dogs will be available for current consoles, next-gen consoles and the PC in Q4 2013.
