by William D'Angelo , posted on 27 January 2015 / 2,719 Views

AOL has struggled in recent years and there are sources that have told Re/code AOL will be shutting down video game website Joystiq. AOL is doing "house-cleaning" of its underperforming content properties.

"Sources tell Joystiq that the staff is aware of the closure, but corporate hasn't officially told them, so they are unable to acknowledge anything out of concern that it will cause immediate shutdown," read a post on Joystiq's own website written by Alexander Sliwinski.
