The Wii figures seem to be from November 2006 -> end of December 2007, whereas PS4 figures don't include December 2014 (obviously, seeing as the year isn't even over).

Why Wii's figures include December 2007, I haven't a clue.

The Wii didn't even sell 1.745 million in Nov 07 so I have no idea how the Wii could have beaten the PS4 by that amount. Does anyone fact check these articles before they are published, it makes VGC look so amateur when the data on this very site contradicts whats in the article.

Another, 01 Dec 07, Wii had sold 15.892 million. 29 Nov 14, PS4 has sold 15.832 million according to VGC. Factor in the two additional days between the 29 Nov and the 01 Dec, and you have the PS4 in front, and definitely not 3.65 million behind.

No. It's William. His articles are straight up garbage and I think he is purposely trying to make ioi look bad. He doesn't proof his work. It's often wildly incorrect, he post articles before info is available and this article, is blatantly in opposition to the data on this site which indicates the lack of respect he has for it. It's like he doesn't care. I really appreciate the work that ioi does so it's sad to see it sabotaged by William on a constant basis.

Wii --------PS4

Nov 03: 296,372-----------Nov 01: 301,173= (4,801)
Nov 10: 282,996-----------Nov 08: 486,762= (203,766)
Nov 17: 469,651-----------Nov 15: 440,945 = (-28,706)
Nov 24: 673,069-----------Nov 22: 581,285 = (-91,784)
Dec 01: 699,757-----------Nov 29: 1,061,522 = (361,765)

PS4 Sold 449,842 more in the month of November. But this article records it as a victory in favor of the Wii in the amount of 1.75 million. Sigh...

20.13 million, that's the amount of Wii's shipped by 31 December 2007. That's really the only we know for sure, and looks like ps4 can beat it.

This is just wrong : Wii was at 16,6M at the same time period, so it's a tie for now.

The ps4 is the fastest selling console ever.... sony console. Sorry guys, the ps4 hasn't outsold the wii.... lol. Dream on. It may in the long run, but it won't happen for years. It's ok, just enjoy your ps4, doesn't matter that the wii is killing it.

Incorrect. The PS4 is the fastest selling console of all time, accounting for -every- game console ever released. It might slow down at some point (though it will most certainly have longer legs/better support), but for the time being, it's still trending ahead of the Wii. VGC have messed up significantly here. We know that they have some undertracking issues with the PS4, but it also appears that they included December sales for the Wii by mistake.
