UK Retailer GAME has returned to profits in its full 2014 fiscal year, after posting a loss in 2014. For the year, revenue increased from £657.9 million a year ago to £861.8 million in 2014. The majority of the revenue were due to the stores in the UK, while Spain accounted for a small percentage.

GAME posted a profit of £24.8 million, while pre-tax profit was £7.3 million. This is a huge increase over the loss of £15.4 million in 2013.

"In April 2012 GAME Digital was born out of the ashes of The GAME Group plc. The company was in a difficult position and in need of an urgent and fundamental restructuring," said president David Hamid. "We set about rebuilding a new company which puts right the problems of the past and is dedicated to building a business that addresses head-on the issues of the industry in a way that will ensure our long-term future prosperity."
