UK Developers Returning to Consoles, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 - News

UK developers have moved away from consoles in recent years, however a survey done by UK trade body TIGA has discovered they will be returning to consoles soon.

100 UK developers were surveyed in the about their current and future projects. There are currently 17 percent of developers working on games for the Xbox One and 15 percent working on games for the PlayStation 4. In the future that will grow to 52 percent for the Xbox One and 48 for the PlayStation 4.

While console development is expected to increase, the number of developers working on iOS is expected to decrease by seven percent. PC gaming development, which has been the focus of indie developer, is also expected to decline around 15 percent.

I'm not sure how accurate these studies are, but if so it's a good figure. Mobile gaming will be a big part of gaming's future, but it's not the golden goose that some seem to think it is.
