Blizzard has announced on Battle.net that it will be increasing the price of its World of Warcraft subscriptions in the UK when the Warlords of Draener expansion is released on November 13 of this year.

"We regularly look at our pricing around the world and from time to time we make changes in light of local and regional market conditions," read the post on the forum. "As such, we want to give everyone a heads-up that we will shortly be adjusting the pound sterling subscription price of World of Warcraft."

The price for a one month subscription is being increased by £1 from £8.99 to £9.99. 90 day subscription is being increased from £25.17 to £28.17 and 180 days from £46.14 to £52.14. However, any player with a recurring subscription when the prices are increased will be able to pay the original price, as long as they don't cancel or alter their subscription.

Subscriptions for the game has dropped to 6.8 million players, which is a drop of 800,000 in just three months. However, Activision is confident that the release of the Warlords of Draener expansion will help push subscriptions.
