Yeah, and if NPD is anything to go by, VGC is underrating PS4 in the U.S.

More and more MS will be relying on North America and UK to keep it relevant this gen. But at least MS has the biggest market on its side. Poor Nintendo really only has Japan, which has moved on from home consoles somewhat.

Expect PS4 to almost double Xbone on this week's NPD report (April sales).

Not good for the Xbox One 3rd party support long term. There's a lot of franchises (Metal Gear, many JRPGs) that only get a fraction of total sales on the Xbox 360 compared to the PS3 -- and that's mostly owed to 360 multiplatform games usually of being better overall quality. If XOne is technically less capable than PS4 and has a lower installed base than 360, the XOne won't have nearly the diversity of games 360 had. Sad.

the gap of PS4-XO is better of sales of PS3 in first 5 month... ._."
I PS3 have sold 80,000,000, i think PS4 will sold 70,000,000 more of XO.

Is'nt the PS4 available in far more markets though? So should'nt the gap between the 2 be bigger every month? It seems to me the xbox is holding up really well considering...

Not trying to talk down those markets, but it's a shame they are so small. I don't think they will have that big of an impact that many people think, which is a shame. If you look at the Finlands sales of 2013 posted on this forums board the total number of their best selling system PS3 were a margin number, hardly noticeable on the WW sales.

This "more markets" argument is laughable. The reason MS isn't yet in those markets is because they don't sell significant quantities in those places. Certainly not enough to make any difference.

The gap isn't bigger in absolute numbers because we are entering the months where sales will be lower for both. Percentage wise the difference has been the same or has been going up.

XO is coming in 90% of market, so:
4,500,00 divided 90 = 50,000 X 100 = 5,000,000
...
So, 5,000,000 XO VS 7,500,000 PS4...
PS4 sold much nevertheless sells 50% more.
