Overview
There are is one game in the top 40 to be in their final week. FUSE for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
Four games have 200,000 or more pre-orders, the same as last week, and the top five has 100,000 or more pre-orders, the same as last week. One game added 20,000 or more pre-orders, down from two last week and six added 10,000 or more, down from nine last week.
Games in Final Week Before Launch
FUSE (X360) added 1,736 pre-orders for a grand total of 23,941. Expect first week sales in the USA at retail to be in the 30,000 to 45,000 unit range. Expect the game to sell between 100,000 units and 200,000 units lifetime in the US.
FUSE (PS3) added 1,148 pre-orders for a final total of 21,570. Expect first week sales in the USA at retail to be in the 30,000 to 45,000 unit range. Expect the game to sell between 100,000 units and 200,000 units lifetime in the US.
Major Performers in the U.S. – Week Ending June 1
Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D (3DS) sales are expected to drop to around 22,000 units in its second week on sale.
Resident Evil: Revelations (PS3) sales are expected to drop to around 7,000 units in its second week on sale. The Xbox 360 version is expected to drop to around 6,000 units.
Overall hardware and software sales are expected to drop slightly week-on-week.
Other Hot Games – In Order of Release
The Last of Us (PS3) is the most pre-ordered game in the US. It added 14,156 pre-orders, down from 17,003 last week, for a total of 306,675. The game has fallen from 44,000 to 40,000 pre-orders ahead of Uncharted 3 during the same number of weeks before release. The game is three weeks away from launch in the USA, June 14, 2013.
Animal Crossing: New Leaf (3DS) added 18,877 pre-orders, down from 19,084 last week, for a total of 240,804. The game is three weeks away from launch in the USA, June 9, 2013.
Grand Theft Auto V (X360) added 7,736 pre-orders, up from 4,968 last week, for a total of 295,032. The PlayStation 3 version added 7,319 up from 4,457 pre-orders for a total of 253.796. The game is 17 weeks away from launch in the USA, September 17, 2013.
Battlefield 4 (X360) added 6,077 pre-orders, up from 5,882 last week, for a total of 144,163. Battlefield 4 (PS3) added 2,927 pre-orders, down from 3,309 last week, for a total of 66,104. The game is 23 weeks away from launch in the USA, October 29, 2013.
Notable mentions: Call of Duty: Ghosts (X360) added 24,155 pre-orders for a total of 74,648. Call of Duty: Ghosts (PS3) added 16,234 pre-orders for a total of 53,788. Minecraft (X360) added 18,344 pre-orders for a total of 60,554.
Requests: Watch Dogs (X360) added 1,519 pre-orders for a total of 12,850. Watch Dogs (PS3) added 1,487 pre-orders for a total of 10,963. Watch Dogs (WiiU) added 405 pre-orders for a total of 4,267. Gran Turismo 6 (PS3) added 705 pre-orders for a total of 948. Wonderful 101 (WiiU) entered the charts this week with 84 pre-orders.
