USA Preorders Chart, 2 March 2013 - Tomb Raider, MLB 13: The Show

Overview
There are three games in the top 40 to be in their final week, Tomb Raider for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, MLB 13: The Show (PS3), and Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 3 for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. As a reminder the Pro data is back up, which means that I am taking requests again for games outside the top 20.
Six games have 200,000 or more pre-orders, up from five last week, and the top 12 has 100,000 or more pre-orders, up from 11 last week. Five games added 20,000 or more, up from three last week and five added 10,000 or more, down from six last week.
Games in Final Week Before Launch
Tomb Raider (X360) added 29,027 pre-orders for a grand total of 136,873. Expect first week sales in the USA at retail to be in the 175,000 to 225,000 unit range. Expect the game to sell between 450,000 and 550,000 units lifetime in the US.

Tomb Raider (PS3) added 21,971 pre-orders for a grand total of 107,112. Expect first week sales in the USA at retail to be in the 150,000 to 200,000 unit range. Expect the game to sell between 350,000 and 450,000 units lifetime in the US.

MLB 13: The Show (PS3) added 8,580 pre-orders for a grand total of 48,627. Expect first week sales in the USA at retail to be in the 80,000 to 120,000 unit range. Expect the game to sell between 600,000 and 700,000 units lifetime in the US.

Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 3 (PS3) added 7,753 pre-orders for a grand total of 30,860. Expect first week sales in the USA at retail to be in the 40,000 to 60,000 unit range. Expect the game to sell between 250,000 and 325,000 units lifetime in the US.

Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 3 (PS3) added 7,481 pre-orders for a grand total of 28,959. Expect first week sales in the USA at retail to be in the 40,000 to 60,000 unit range. Expect the game to sell between 250,000 and 325,000 units lifetime in the US.

Major Performers in the U.S. – Week Ending March 9
Crysis 3 for the Xbox 360 is expects to drop to around 33,000 units in its third week on sale. The PlayStation 3 version is expected to drop to around 12,000 units.
Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance for the PlayStation 3 is expected to drop to around 20,000 units in its second week on sale. The Xbox 360 version is expected to drop to around 12,000 units sold.
Etrian Odyssey IV (3DS) sales are expected to drop to around 5,000 units in its second week on sale.
Overall hardware sales are expected to drop slightly week-on-week.
Other Hot Games – In Order of Release
God of War: Ascension (PS3) added 35,927 pre-orders, up from 20,705 last week, for a total of 285,677. The game is 84,000 pre-orders behind God of War III. The game is two weeks away from launch in the USA, March 12, 2013.
Gears of War: Judgment (X360) added 58,282 pre-orders, up from 53,796 last week, for a total of 230,414. The game is 918,000 pre-orders behind Gears of War III. The game is three weeks away from launch in the USA, March 12, 2013.
Bioshock Infinite (X360) added 9,362 pre-orders, down from 11,859 last week, for a total of 334,471. Bioshock Infinite (PS3) added 5,350 pre-orders, down from 5,509 last week, for a total of 197,683. The game is four weeks away from launch in the USA, March 26, 2013.
Notable mentions: StarCraft II: Heart of the Swarm (PC) added 20,560 pre-orders for a total of 256,678. The Last of Us (PS3) added 7,136 pre-orders for a total of 191,884. Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon (3DS) added 7,859 pre-orders for a total of 165,513.
Requests: Pandora’s Tower (Wii) added 1,993 pre-orders for a total of 13,727. Tales of Xilia (PS3) added 1,294 pre-orders for a total of 8,048. Tearaway (PSV) added 164 pre-orders for a total of 809.
