All sales specified will be worldwide, unless stated otherwise. If there is a particular top 10 you want to see leave a comment and it may be featured in a future top 10.

Over the first two month of 2013 we will be looking at the 2012 sales by platform. This week we will be taking a look at the top 10 selling 3DS games in 2012. Looking at the top 10 bestselling 3DS games in 2012, eight of the games were released in 2012 and two were released in 2011.

Thats how you support your handheld. Nintendo threw a bunch of big guns at it and it made money and moved units. No depending on 3rd parties to sell it. Sony should take note of this

But, in defense of Sony they dont have an army decades old franchises they can reply on to sell millions of units like Nintendo, they need 3rd to make good games for their handhelds. Monster hunter was big factor in why the PSP sold as well as it did.

Looks like Square is doing a pretty good job on the 3DS. I'd like to see more support on home consoles though derp.

Impressive that Animal Crossing sales were obtained only in Japan. I wonder how many copies this game will sell when it´s released in Europe and Americas
