Tri-Ace, Star Ocean developer, assisted in the development of Final Fantasy XIII-2, despite not officially appearing in the credits of the game. However, several Tr-Ace employees are in the credits. The studio is currently working on Frontier Gate (PSP) and Beyond the Labyrinth (3DS).

Yichiro Kitao, a producer at Tri-Ace, revealed in a Tweet that the studio helped in the development of the game. Tri-Ace was hired to help the game design, artwork, programming, among other sections of the game.

Final Fantasy XIII-2 launched in Japan on December 15, and will release in the USA on January 31, 2012 and February 3, 2012 in Europe.
