Dark Souls Ships 1.5 Million Worldwide - News

The game is available for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. Shipments were also broken down by region. In Japan 370,000 copies were shipped, in North America 620,000, Europe 470,000, and in Asia 40,000.
Shipments put into the VGChartz regions are at 370,000 in Japan, 620,000 in the Americas and 510,000 in EMEAA. According to VGChartz Dark Souls has sold 353,000 in Japan, 393,000 in the Americas and 198,000 in EMEAA, for a worldwide total of 944,000. That would put 556,000 copies left on store shelves worldwide. With the game still selling around 50,000 a week the current shipment will be sold out by the end of the year.
The game is available for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in every region, except for Japan where it is a PlayStation 3 exclusive.

Awesome game, I haven't actually seen many copies here in the UK, in my region there are no second hand copies either - so people are actually keeping their copies and in some cases the prices have even gone up for the new/used copies in retailers. Also seeing as it has been released about 3 weeks ago I went to trade it in as I just haven't had anymore time to play it lately and got more than reasonable trade in value - so I guess it is pretty tight here in EMEAA.
