Overview

There is one game in the top twenty to be in its final week before launch Michael Jackson: The Experience (X360). The top five games include Gears of War 3 (X360), Mortal Kombat (PS3), Mortal Kombat (X360), SOCOM 4: U.S. Navy SEALs (PS3), and Brink (X360). The top six games have 100,000 or more pre-orders. Two games add 50,000 or more pre-orders, five add 20,000 or more pre-orders and nine add 10,000 or more pre-orders.

Games in final week before launch

Michael Jackson: The Experience (X360) is the lone game to be in its final week before launch. It adds 11,000 pre-orders for a final total of 52,000. Expect it to sell between 75,000 and 100,000 units in its first week in America.

Other Hot Games

Mortal Kombat

Two versions of Mortal Kombat are in the top 20, the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. They add a combined 104,000 pre-orders, up from 53,000 last week, for a combined total of 379,000. The game is currently two weeks away from launch. The PlayStation 3 version is at number two as it adds 65,000 pre-orders, up from 34,000 the previous week, for a total of 226,000. The Xbox 360 version is up one spot to number three. It adds 39,000 pre-orders, up from 19,000 last week, for a total of 153,000.

SOCOM 4

SOCOM 4: U.S. Navy SEALs (PS3) adds 28 pre-orders, up from 16,000 last week. The game currently sits at a total of 148,000 and is two weeks away from launch.

Gears of War 3

Gears of War 3 (X360) is at the top as it adds 55,000 pre-orders up from 28,000 the previous week. The game currently sits at 321,000 pre-orders. The game is still 24 weeks away from launch.

Also in the top 10: Brink (X360) at number five adds 12,000 pre-orders up from 9,000 the previous week. The game currently sits at a total of 115,000 and is six weeks away from launch.

The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword (Wii) at number six adds 2,000 pre-orders the same as last week. The game currently sits at 104,000 pre-orders. The game currently has no release date in America.

Metal Fight Beyblade (DS) at number seven adds just 258 pre-orders this week, which brings it to a total of 96,000 pre-orders. The game has no release date in America.

Portal 2 (X360) jumps into the top ten as the number of new pre-orders are outpacing most games. The game enters the top ten at number eight as it adds 18,000 new pre-orders for a total of 95,000. The game is currently two weeks away from launch.

Portal 2 (PS3) is right behind the Xbox 360 version; however it does add a few thousand more pre-orders this week, 21,000 compared to 18,000. The game currently sits at a total of 93,000, just 2,000 behind the Xbox 360 version.

Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Future Soldier (X360) rounds out the top ten. It adds 2,000 pre-orders for a total of 89,000. The game currently has no release date in America.

Notable mentions outside the top 10: L.A. Noire (X360) adds 12,000 pre-orders for a total of 78,000. The PlayStation 3 version of L.A. Noire adds 8,000 pre-orders for a total of 58,000. Duke Nukem Forever (X360) adds 8,000 pre-orders for a total of 52,000.

Like 5 games on that list I want. Zelda, Diablo 3, L.A. Noire, Batman: Arkham City and Gears 3. I haven't even beaten Portal 1, so Portal 2 can wait. I do want Duke Nukem as well, but there's no rush for that.

If pre-orders for Gears of War 3 continue to be like this week's, then there's a good chance that it'll shift around 2 million units in its first week.

I am surprised that no one is talking about how well Nascar 2011 is doing on the wii. Over 72,000 preorders and still 7 weeks away.

its tacking well above reach, and black ops did not yet have preorder data 24 weeks before launch. I wouldn't expect reach Americas numbers though as they are bound to slow after the beta.
