Fable III PC Specs Released - News

Lionhead Studios has today gone ahead and released both minimum and recommended system requirements for Fable III on PC, ahead of its release date -- May 17th for North America and May 20th for Europe.

The abovementioned system specifications can be found below.

Minimum Requirements

Operating System: XP 32 SP3, Vista 32/64 , Win 7 32/64
CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo 2GHz or AMD Athlon X2 4000+
Memory: 2GB
Hard Drive Space: 12 GB of free space
Graphics Hardware: NVidia 7600GT or ATI HD 2600 Pro
DirectX: 9.0c onward
Network: Internet or LAN connection required for multiplayer

Recommended

Operating System: Win 7
CPU: Intel Pentium 2.9Ghz Core 2 Duo or higher
Memory: 4GB
Hard Drive Space: 12 GB of free space
Graphics Hardware: Nvidia 260GTX 896MB or ATI 5770 1GB or higher
DirectX: 9.0c onward
Network: Internet or LAN connection required for multiplayer

@ walkerj it's not so much that DX11 is bad (hell microsoft pushed the trash that was DX10 pretty heavily with Halo 2 shadowrun etc) it's just they don't think PC gamers are worth the effort of updating the engine to make it look better...

Looks like the game did not meet sales expectation and had to be brought to the pc.

Crysis 2 debacle? Crysis 2 was awesome. Longer, more open and more fun than any FPS since the first Crysis. Some people complained about the graphic options..what does fable offer that is graphically better? People don't play the whole game, read all the emails, find the secrets. They take one look, are too stupid to understand the story and think it sucks. I guess "stop evil russian or afghani guy" is easier to follow.

I have a 5770 but a much better processor.

Direct X 9 and onward? I'd expect a Microsoft exclusive to be using all the direct x 11 features. Apparently not. Goes to show that direct x 11 is trash if even they won't use it.
