For something that says it's all about freedom and revolutionary, it all looks very limited and dupicated. Glad i didn't bother pre-ordering it, would be sitting gathering dust for a good few months at least until/if something vaguely interesting comes out for it.

17 titles is a good number. and yet the list is a big disappointment.
The fact that more than half of those games are sports/fitness games clearly demonstrates that Kinect is only suited for a very limited range of games.

Apart from Dance Central, this list is pretty piss poor and offers nothing truly new.

TBH, I'm going to wait for the Japanese titles to come to the West before buying now.

WOW aside from that fighters uncaged everything else looks like trash! and this isnt fanboyism of any kind, i can clearly see why all of my friends who preordered kinect cancelled their perorders. Kinect is a cool concept and when it was called natal it actually made me think about rebuying a 360 but with these games im not touching it with a 100 foot pole.

17 games within two weeks of kinect hitting the market is a pretty good launch. should do well.

wow, could the line-up be more coma inducing? If I wanted to play wii games I would use my son's wii.

This list is pure ass aside from Sonic and the dancing games - which still might smell of sphincter in the end.

Here's hoping things improve for us non-casuals - because let's face it, this is a casual gamer's dream line-up.

This list is simply depressing.

Harry Potter is going to make a lot of people happy........Look Ma, I'm the yada yada bullcrap teenage wizard..........Now, what they should do is release a Sabrina the Teenage Witch game.....haha then Id buy a 360 and Kinect, jk but its going to be cool to see what MS does with this product because the options are endless but the budgets arent

LOL @ prime.

Meh line up so far.......

I really am curious how well Kinect Games will sell. I mean outside of Sports champions, Move games don't really sell well. However I think thats because a lot of gamers are buying the Move to enhance their Resident Evil and Killzone 3 experience.

November will be interesting...

P.S. A lot of Dance/Fitness games

Yep, the 360 is getting more and more casual.

@ Mr. Puggsly. They said specificly that they would be going after core market with kinect.

Your Shape: Fitness Evolved...Is that Bungie's new IP?

Are the EA games all multiplat or have they done some Kinect exclusives. Sports Active 2 must at least be a Wii/Kinect thing right?

  • 0
Mr Puggsly (on 18 October 2010)

@ chingrin

Clearly they are focusing on casuals. The 360 already has the core market.

mchaza (on 18 October 2010)

out of the 17 games:

  • 4 are exercise titles
  • 7 rail sports games
  • 2 rail adventure games
  • 2 dance game
  • and a eye pet rip off

wow any chances of me getting an kinect is ZERO at the moment

  • 0
chingrin (on 18 October 2010)

You gotta be kidding me right? this is the stuff they come out with? how is this going to appeal to core gamers?

  • 0
Dazzle (on 18 October 2010)

oh dear.. these look like they took a week to make for less than £500 a piece..

  • 0
Silver-Tiger (on 18 October 2010)

Wow, and they're charging 50 dollars for such minigames which come included in pretty much every good party game colletion? Way to go, MS.

Microsoft should control a bit more the market. Too many products cannibalizing the same market. It is confusing for the consumer. I wouldn't bet a dime these third parties can outdo nintendo at their own game. They should focus on new ideas instead of cloning what worked for the wii. The part I don't get of the kinect offer is how can it attract casuals at that price. My guess is that Kinect will sell mainly to hardcore gamers that buy it all (like myself), but I can't see an average uncle going to the shop and doubting between a cheap wii and a x360+kinect. Same for PS3+move, but I just think the ps3 offer is less ambitious (more realistic?) and has a legacy of casuals coming from the ps2. I'm not very optimistic for kinect once the initial preorders are delivered.

ninty_shareholder64 (on 18 October 2010)

Ninty opened the market for these fitness, sports, dance etc. for video game console motion controlled. And now M$ goes on with this thing.
There's nothing shameless, i think.
But, to be honest, i would be a bit spiteful if Kinect would fail (it won't).
I just don't like M$.

hatmoza (on 18 October 2010)

I'll wait for reviews on the dance/exercise games. I'll mainly be interested in controls when skimming through reviews.
If lag is a common problem, I'll pass.

  • 0
woodstarman64 (on 18 October 2010)

Most of these games are blatant copies of hit nintendo titles...but wait...you get kinect controls with these clones! Shameless business tactics at their finest...

  • 0
ninty_shareholder64 (on 18 October 2010)

lol
that's a casual lineup, casualest or most casualestest, lol, i ever seen.
I think it will be huge sucess, easily >3M this year, everything what M$ is able to ship, imho.

Naum (on 18 October 2010)

Holy hell...Won't take long before the 360 have as many casual games as the Wii :-)

  • 0
saicho (on 18 October 2010)

4 fitness games and 4 sports complication games for launch... probably only one out of each group would stand out for the consumers.

  • 0
CaptainHavok (on 18 October 2010)

Dance Central looked really cool at E3, but for me there's no motivation to buy until next year when Child of Eden drops.

  • 0
VGhippy (on 18 October 2010)

Better line-up than I thought. I'm interested in Kinect Adventures/Sonic/Fighters Uncaged and Joyride myself. Unfortunately because of the price and limited availability in the UK it won't be till next year that I get it. Hopefully by then Rise of Nightmares will be out though.
