International Cricket 2010 Announced - News

by Craig S , posted on 18 March 2010 / 2,496 Views

Codemasters announced the latest in their line of cricket games today, with the unveiling of International Cricket 2010 for the Xbox 360 and PS3, to be released this summer.

New features include an 'Action Cam' to put you right in the middle of the action on the pitch, and 'Power Stick', which will give you complete analogue control for batsmen, allowing for the widest selection of realistic shots. A comprehensive player and squad editor will allow for even greater levels of player control and customisation.

International Cricket 2010 will also be officially licensed by the England and Wales Cricket Board and Cricket Australia, which means that it will feature official stadia, kits, tournaments and teams, from a roster of 16 nations and 21 stadia.

STEUPSE

Cricket is better with WM+, not HD. Geez I thought after Ashes 2009 codemasters would smarten up a little. I'm starting to give up hope on a proper Wii cricket.

But I will never change my sig....in hope :(

LOL, I think the only audience that may be interested in this game is on the Wii. Leaving it out is commercial suicide. But hey, what else is new?

No Wii Motion Plus version of the only Wii cricket game to be released, now there's a new one with no Wii version announced and no information if there will be Natal/Move support.
This is one of the perfect sports for motion controls FFS!!!

Natal, no way Jose. Move, maybe -- they'll have to experiment to see whether it really works in this game. Batting and bowling are potentially interesting with Move.

They should really look into getting a license from BCCI. Otherwise it's a bit like making a world basketball game without the USA.

Haven't played a good cricket game in a while so this might be a good chance. Hope it will be good

well they ruined the Wii version of ashes 09. the controls were like a last minute decision I think.

Yeah, Move might be interesting, but only as an option....

I doubt this is going to be that much of a step over Ashes Cricket 2009, which was great, but at least it should provide an easy platinum!

Please no Move/Natal BS. Ashes 09 was awesome, this one can be only even better.

Everyone has been joking that the only genres EA has left to fill in the SPorts world are 'Cricket 2010' and 'World Championship Polo'.

Looks like Codemasters, the all purpose 'niche' company, has once again come in to fill the void.

Keep your eyes peeled for an alternative cricket game for the Wii, which I think will be a lot more fun than this one ;)
