Guitar Hero 5: Naked Ad - News

Activision has ramped up the launch of Guitar Hero 5 with these saucy ads. The first one is labelled "Naked Girls Get Interrupted" and I think you're too busy watching to read on by now.

The second one features Playboy Playmates jamming out to Bob Seger & the Silver Bullet Band's Old Time Rock and Roll with Hugh Hefner. This is a play on last year's Heidi Klum ad with the exact same setting and virtually the same choreography, just more girls. 

They certainly want your attention, did they get it? Oh by the way, you're supposed to want to buy Guitar Hero 5 which ships today (Sep 1) in North America and Sep 11 in Europe after watching them.

Seems quite innocent, compared to what we can find on the net...

This advert is VERY SMART by activision, this is not aimed at us, but at the masses, they will find it very funny and will stick in there head. when thy see Guitar Hero 5 at th end people will be like oo, a new one i liked the others will check it out. i prefer Rock Band over Guitar Hero but this advert is what it needed to get people intrested

i agree, its very low-brow but people will buy into it. dnt think as a gamer when viewing this, think of marketing, very smart move

Eh... Innuendo ad... WTF!? ....though I do want to know who those girls are.. Still I got tired of Guitar Hero so I don't think I'll be buying this.

I liked the second one though. The sliding part was nice.

The second one is passable as an advert at least, if only for the nice slide-in at the beginning.

I don't recognize any of those Playmates...from the first one, they must be the UK ones since it says Eurogamer. The ones in the second video I'm having trouble with remembering, but the one blonde is Sara Jean Underwood. I think the other one (blonde) in there is my friend (who is a Playmate; she's a cousin of my friend I went to college with; talked to her on the phone several times as I was trying to get ideas on some items to get my girlfriend for her birthday because she likes makeup and perfume, and Kayla LOVES those, so I asked her for advice), Kayla Collins...not sure, she has thicker, blonde hair.

I see that Guitar Hero is losing ground to Rock band rather quickly. However, a 'GTA' advertising stunt will only hurt them.
