Rise Astro, Rise!
Rebirth Sales could of been worse, so solid start. Curious to see what it's legs are.
30,657 sales out of nearly 6 million Switch 2 units don’t even represent 1%. That’s extremely low, especially for a franchise like Final Fantasy, and particularly Final Fantasy VII, one of the most famous RPGs in the world.
I highly doubt sales will increase, because the first week is usually when you make the majority of your sales. In my store in France, it’s the same: sales aren’t great either. Maybe some of the sales happened through digital purchases.
If you've been around the last few months you'd see low performance is the norm for AAA games on the Switch 2. It's established the majority of these audiences are on PS5 or PC or prefer to buy these games on those paltforms, we should adjust our expectations in line with this.
With adjusted expectation in mind and the knowledge that this is merely a late port of a game that has already sold it's vast majority of LT units elsewhere, 30k is bigger than what remake opened, a surprising growth. It's a "solid" start. Not great but above expectations.
Astrobot returns. It made it over 100K retail!
