Boycot worked wonders in this ip lmao
Was there really an organised boycott? I heard of some small scale criticism but nothing major on par with say Hogwarts Legacy.
Why was there a boycott?
I vaguely remember some groups asked the devs to put ethnic minorities in. The devs, who were trying to be as accurate to history as possibly, said no so the groups tried to create some backlash.
I didn’t think it gained much traction though.
Lots of people on ResetEra mainly complaining about the lack of dark skinned characters, in 1400's Bohemia (modern day Czech Republic), which for that time period an all-white cast of course makes sense, Europeans importing African slaves en-masse didn't begin until a century after the game was set, and other dark skinned people from the middle east or Asia would have also been a very rare sight in 1400's Bohemia.
Czech Republic even now in 2024 is like 90% white. These activists always want to shame countries they deem not diverse enough.
Looks great and I'm happy it's being released this year. Just hope it's not broken on launch like the 1st game
