Respawn Entertainment is developing a first-person Star Wars Mandalorian game, according to sources who spoke with Insider Gaming.
The game is in the early stages of development and is set during the time of the Galactic Empire. The player takes control of a Mandalorian. With your job being a bounty hunter your goal is to capture bounties dead or alive for cash rewards.
The main character will have a jetpack, which will let the player perform horizontal dashing, vertical jumping, boost sliding, and more, according to the sources. The game is described to be "very fast-paced" and will award players who play in this style.
Playing as a Mandalorian will give players a variety of weapons and gadgets. This includes a wrist rocket, grapple hook, a visor for tagging enemies and bounties, and more.
The sources claim the game will not be open-world, but instead have linear levels taking place on different planets set in the Star Wars universe.
It was previously announced Respawn is developing at least two more Star Wars games. One of them is a strategy title made in concert with new studio Bit Reactor and the other is a first-person shooter developed in-house.
It is very possible the game the sources are talking about is the first-person shooter developed in-house.

this is very disappointing to me, i hate that show, hopefully the show won't drag it down just like the Jedi Survivor games have nothing to do with the movies

Interesting. Could end up as a Bounty Hunter successor, we got Battlefront/Squadrons after all because they can't think of anything else to do.
Titanfall 3 was cancelled we all know it. But then again Aveum had it rough (timing and type of game and what customers thought of it, I had hope for it but well that's out the window like many flops I was interested in still picked them up) and TF2 had it rough between COD/BF so great.... Still a shooter from Respawn I'm fine with that didn't really get into the Jedi games from that, fine games didn't do it for me though.
First person is fair, Bounty Hunter in third person was fine but I think FPS is what Respawn do best and besides yes Mando helmets, sure we do see him take the helmet off and go through the changes of that and so on but still, we don't need cosmetics, Jedi games seemed to push cosmetics and it wasn't fun, won't back track for a cosmetic either no point if don't care for cosmetics.
Also not surprised because got to push characters and games/shows/other things somehow.
Was the Star Wars 10 year deal extended with EA? Assuming so.
With respawn killing it with the Jedi series and their Apex Legends live service success,
I think we gonna see another successful story driven first person shooter game!
Respawn is the only shining beacon from EA to this day.
Everything Respawn does is great. Until and unless they produce a shitbox, I'm going to assume that this game will be great too.
