The publisher will also develop software tools and training programs to improve workplace policies and practices for employers across the industry.

Kotick added, "We will continue to be vigilant in our commitment to the elimination of harassment and discrimination in the workplace. We thank the EEOC for its constructive engagement as we work to fulfill our commitments to eradicate inappropriate conduct in the workplace."
Activision Blizzard is also taking steps to upgrade its policies, practices, and training to prevent and eliminate discrimination and harassment in its workplaces. The company will also implement and expand its performance review system with a new focus on equal opportunity.
The publisher will appoint a third-party equal opportunity consultant whose findings will be regularly reported to our Board of Directors as well as the Commission.

Don't you just love it when these companies come out and state that they are emphatically and categorically against this and that and that and this... as if millions of people are sitting around their smart phones, just waiting with bated breath for this huge, fortune-five-hundred conglomerate machine to profess their values?
Not surprising that they would settle as quickly as possible. Guilty or innocent, companies often settle simply to minimize negative press--and if you intend to settle from the start, go ahead and make an offer. The surprise for me is that the settlement is so low. Interesting.
$18M? Thats all for a multy billion dollar company? That's not even a slow weekend for them. I hope this is not over and there are still other battles cuz I would say then they won and got away with it.
not trying to be insensitive to this subject, but maybe it wasn't that bad? if there is proof of sexual harassment, abuse and cover up then this is a low number for a company with huge resources.
If I'm not mistaken they had a video in the womens toilet and other similar stuff. Its beyond a doubt by now.

They would but they can't afford to the $18 million is all that's left after Kotic's yearly pay, and they can't sack anymore people to make it up since they are saving that for Bobbies next pay deal, and that's worrying him since the disposable employees pool has shrunk because sacking any women at this time would look bad.
