Rockstar Games has released the standalone version of Red Dead Online on December 1 on the PlayStation Store, Microsoft Store, Rockstar Games Launcher, Epic Games Store, and Steam. It is available for $4.99, which is 75 percent off the regular price, until February 15, 2021. PlayStation Plus and Xbox Live Gold will be required in order to play.  

The PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions will be available to play on the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and S consoles via backward compatibility. 

The standalone version of Red Dead Online will require up to 123 GB of hard drive space and will include the ability to purchase Red Dead Redemption 2: Story Mode.
