PlayStation CEO Doesn't Know If Starfield or The Elder Scrolls VI Will Release on PS5 - News
by William D'Angelo , posted on 01 December 2020 / 2,043 ViewsMicrosoft in September announced it had acquired Bethesda's parent company ZeniMax with the deal expected to be finalized sometime in 2021.
PlayStation CEO Jim Ryan in an interview with TASS was asked about Microsoft's acquisition of ZeniMax and was asked if there was a chance Starfield and The Elder Scrolls VI won't get a release on the PlayStation 5. Ryan says it is out of his control and he doesn't know if they will release on the PS5 or not.
"That’s a decision that is out of our hands, we’ll wait and see what happens," said Ryan. "I look forward to learning about that. We just take a different approach.
"Our emphasis has been to focus on really steady, slow, but constant organic growth of our studios, selectively bolstered by acquisitions. We respect the steps taken by our competition, they seem logical and sensible. But we’re equally happy and confident, we’ve got a better launch lineup than we’ve ever had at any of our console launches."

If MS isn't saying what they are going to do why would anyone expect Jim Ryan to answer it? Are we on a shortage of news?
Until the adquisition is complete ,we are not going to have any confirmation.
Considering Bethesda's development times, the adquisition will be done way before the titles even begin to be finished.
It is not sony job to confirm or deny. That should be MS job and so far their message have been very vague. Case by case is the only thing I took from MS messages.
Honestly, I can't help but laugh at the fact that we went from rumors that Sony had moneyhatted timed exclusivity on Starfield to Sony not knowing if Starfield will even release on PS, in just a few months time. "Life comes at you fast" to quote my favorite movie (bonus points if you know what movie that is from).
That is why I dont pay attention to rumors.
Pretty sure that's from an insurance commercial. If you're quoting Ferris Bueller, it's "life moves pretty fast."
We have a winner. Yeah, I was quoting Ferris Bueller, caught the mistake after I posted by VGC has no edit option for article comments. Guess that's what I get for not watching it in a few years. There was a time when I could quote just about every line in the movie.
Bueller? Bueller? Bueller?
They won't release on ps5 Ms wants to sell series x/s too
