Digital Foundry Compares Xbox Series X vs Xbox Series S - News

Digital Foundry has posted a new video comparing the two next-generation consoles from Microsoft, the Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S. The Xbox Series X is the higher end console with a price of $499, while the Xbox Series S is the lower end console priced at $299. 

Rich Leadbetter from Digital Foundry in the video tests Xbox games running on the two consoles to see how well the Xbox Series S stacks up with the Xbox Series X. The Series S is designed to run the same games as the Series X, but at a lower resolution of 1080p or 1440p.

The Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S sold between them an estimated 1.2 million to 1.4 million units worldwide in its first 24 hours, according to VGChartz estimates.

The Xbox Series X and S had a global launch across 40 countries on November 10, with Xbox All-Access launching in 12 countries.

you want a gamepass machine? Series S is a good thing for ya.
Want to be more "traditional" to console gaming? Series X is a better fit for you.

I have a fat Xbox One , so the Series S is a good upgrade for me for the next 2 years. Gamepass and BC make this a fantastic option with the economics situatio because of COVID-19.

I think the general consensus is a lower end console isn't a bad idea, everybody that looks at the specs is concerned maybe the compromises might be too big though. All we can do is wait and see.
