Snoop Dogg has an Xbox Series X Fridge, iJustine Posts Series X Fridge Unboxing Video [Update] - News

Update:

YouTuber iJustine has also been sent an Xbox Series X fridge and posted a video unboxing it, which can be viewed below:

Original article:

Rapper Snoop Dogg posted a video of an Xbox Series X fridge on his Instagram page before deleting it, however, some people were able to get a download of the video before it was deleted.

The fridge is designed to look like a giant version of the Xbox Series X. The Xbox logo power button even lights up. Inside the fridge appears to be an Xbox Series X looking cake, as well as an actual Xbox Series X.

The official Xbox Twitter account posted an image of the shifty eyes meme with the Xbox Series X fridge in the background. It is likely Snoop Dogg wasn't supposed to share the fridge just yet as it is probably still under an embargo.

The Xbox Series X and Series S will launch worldwide on November 10.

So Xbox gets Snoop Dogg and PlayStation gets Travis Scott... Well... I think Xbox won this round.

Lets be honest, that is one good looking fridge. The green lighting when opened looks amazing and the sounds it makes, makes you feel you are on a topical island getting a massage.

That’s kind of awesome. Xbox is killing it in the marketing dept. And they’re ability to poke fun at themselves and generally be lighthearted.

Snoop got a loaded fridge with ny strips, gin and juice, two gold chains AND a Series X and she got....just the fridge.

You have to market Xbox to the girlfriends of the men that game too. Don’t be sexist :p

Travis Scott has a way bigger influence, no disrespect to Snoop he a legend but you can’t compare the two. I want an Xbox fridge 😔

And yet I have no idea who Travis Scott is, but EVERYONE knows Snoop Dogg, lol

Name recognition maybe, but who is actually influenced by Snoop these days? Again no disrespect but Travis has the biggest brand rn in the game, his collabs and merch sell out in minutes. He just had a massive deal with McDonalds, Jordans resell for crazy amounts. He made SBs popular again.... anything this dude touches is gold. He is the Now

You leave snoop and his ice box alone ;_;

@Bristow9091 I have to agree with ice. I love and grew up listening to Snoop and will pick him over Travis any day. But if you or anybody else doesn't know who Travis Scott is then you may have to admit that you're out of touch with social media and unaware who the younger generation are more into.

Snoop has almost twice as many followers on Instagram but Travis has like 10-20 as many likes per post.

Travis is just much bigger for the young generation and those are the ones who get easily influenced by celebs.

So yeah, Snoop is better known but those kids listen to Travis If it comes to what to buy

*after checking some posts he even has more than 10-20 as many likes on average. Some posts have 5m+ likes. Damn...

I just used Bing to find out who is Travis Scott. I had no idea and still have no idea who this guy is (at least from the name and the picture). While I'm not a big fan of Snoop, I know who he is at least :) I see also the comment about "not in touch with social media". I am on them, every day, and I never heard of this guy; you should probably refrain from saying stuff like that.

Just as extra Info: Travis is #12 on Spotify with over 45m unique listeners. Snoop is at #144 and his listeners are probably much older and mit as easy to influence.

So yes, If you guys never heard of him as one of the most sucessful musicians and social media Influencers it might be because you are out of touch or just listening to completely different music.

@V-r0cK seems unfair to tell me I that I have to admit I'm out of touch with social media when I'm on multiple platforms each and every day, haven't gone a single day without checking my social media stuff in almost a decade now... just because someone doesn't pop up on my feed doesn't mean I'm out of touch. I have friends that are into rap and they post videos on Facebook etc. yet not once have I see a Travis Scott video on there. After googling him, I actually would've recognised him more if someone told about the Travis Scott Burger at McDonalds because I vaguely remember that, but didn't know he himself was a rapper, just some famous person. Not only that but even if he IS a bigger influence to younger people, how young are these people? My younger brother just turned 20 this year, he's also big into rap and loves J. Cole and I've asked him who Travis Scott is, and his answer was "Some rapper guy who got famous from a burger and fortnite"... so y'know, guess he must be too old to be influenced by him too, eh?

That’s an amazing fridge that I wish they’s mass produce and sell. xD

The fridge is good marketing, can't deny, but they totally missed the cherry on top. As soon as she opened the fridge and it was empty I jokingly thought to myself, "no games". That fridge's shelves should've been chalk full of games, even if they asked for them back or were just empty cases while she kept the fridge. That or have her give the games away. A cold/winter related game would've been the best option if possible. Filling it with (empty cases of) AC Valhalla would've been wicked cool. Full of Zenimax games would've worked as well. MS marketing is getting better over time, but they've got a ways to go yet. A smart idea that needed just a little more time in the oven.

Xbox fridge, what a pointless product. And to use that in marketing really? Lol.

Conina (on 25 October 2020)

That made me laugh. A working fridge (keeping food from going bad) is pointless? But a game console (just for entertainment) ain't? So much for Maslow’s Hierarchy of Human Needs. ;-)

The need to hate on everything Xbox... Isn't it exhausting?

  • +2
KratosLives (on 25 October 2020)

I don't hate xbox, I actually hope it does well next gen. But come on, a fridge. A gaming related device into something for storing food? I'd have much rather seen snoop dog playing a game on series x and chilling out, instead of him opening a fridge. Or is xbox a sponsor or affiliate of menulog/eatnow, which snoopdog is in commercials for?
