Publisher Bandai Namco and developer Slightly Mad Studios have announced Project CARS 3 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Windows PC. It will launch in summer 2020.

Seems like a mistake releasing it on current gen this late in the generation. According to leaks, it's 2 main competitors, Gran Turismo 7 and Forza Motorsport 8, will both release this Holiday and will be designed to take full advantage of next-gen hardware. If those leaks are true, Project Cars 3 is going to seem very outdated just a few months after it releases. Considering the 2nd Project Cars didn't sell that well (physical sales were less than half of the 1st game as I recall), you'd think they would want to give the 3rd game every advantage possible, by at least making the 3rd game cross-gen, instead of current gen only.
