I bought the game full priced the first time around.... and I'll do it again!!!
I'm pretty surprised that there's not a Switch or PC version of this yet. Great game though!
Why are you surprised? There has never been a mainline Persona game anywhere, but PlayStation. Switch is getting the original mainline game Shin Megami Tensei V. Hopefully there's news on that soon.
Switch is kind of the successor to the Vita/PSP in a lot of ways. Atlus always puts Persona on a handheld eventually, so I figured it would be the Switch. As far as PC goes, Sega has been throwing all their stuff on PC these last few years. But anyway I'm kind of glad it's not on PC. Just surprised that it wasn't ported over already like so many other JRPGs.
You know what...I didn't look at it like that. The Switch definitely fits in the realm of a successor to Vita, yet is powerful enough for home consoling. You also have a point with the PC version. At this point, I wouldn't be surprised at a Switch announcement of a Persona game (not Scramble) and of the Yakuza series coming to Switch. If Xbox got it, why not Switch?!
Yakuza finally came to Xbox? Which game?
The first 3 Yakuza games. Starting with Kiwami. All Kingdom Hearts games are going to Xbox as well. They should have announced a Switch version for them as well.
I wonder who finally woke up to putting those games on Xbox. Sega, or MS? My money's on Sega. MS is blind to pretty much anything coming out of Japan.
To be honest, I think it was MS. They are desperately (not meaning this in a negative stance) trying to get more Japanese titles on their platform. They have fans there that appreciate the Japanese titles that may or may not want to opt getting another console. Phil's trip to Japan this time around was fruitful. He was able to negotiate getting those titles on Xbox. Sega probably would have kept them just on PlayStation.
MS might not be too bad off next gen then. There was a pretty big gap in the number of quality titles between Xbox and PS4 this gen. It was something like 20% to 30% more AAA games rated 8 and above on PS4. Half of that had to do with Sony's exclusives. The other half was MS not getting a lot of games that came to both PS4 and Steam.
