Looking at the total sales of the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Wii U in February shows how the PlayStation 4 has continued to grow its lead over the Xbox One and Wii U.
The PlayStation 4 passed the 20 million mark this month. The PS4 has sold 20.22 million units lifetime, the Xbox One 11.64 million units, and the Wii U 9.33 million units.
PlayStation 4 Total Sales: 20,215,802
Xbox One Total Sales: 11,638,701
Wii U Total Sales: 9,329,635
The PlayStation 4 has outsold both the Xbox One and Wii U every month since it launched in November 2013. The Xbox One outsold the Wii U in February for the eighth straight month. The PS4 outsold the Xbox One by 477,697 units for the month and the Wii U by 627,611. The Xbox One outsold the Wii U by 149,914 units.
When you compare monthly sales to a year ago the Xbox One and Wii U are up, while the PlayStation 4 is down. The PlayStation 4 is down 176,193 units, the Xbox One is up 87,256 units and the Wii U is up 25,996 units.
PlayStation 4 Monthly Sales: 819,402
Xbox One Monthly Sales: 341,705
Wii U Monthly Sales: 191,791
The Wii U beat the PS4 and Xbox One to the market by a year. The Wii U launched in November 2012, while the PS4 and Xbox One launched in November 2013.

XB1 has increased YoY because it got a $150 price cut!
WiiU has increased YoY because a) It was too low to begin with, b) It had too few exclusives a year before, c) WiiU awareness started to increase with the advent of the new generation at full scale.
PS4 might be a bit down, a) Because of increased competition from XB1, b) because of the cooling down of the initial excitement until more convincing exclusives arrive, c) This time of the year is traditionally underwhelming and it was last year the odd ball, with the initial shortage of supple pouring into the new year off of the 2013 Christmas season.
