Resident Evil Gets a Socially Networked Version

Via press release Resident Evil: Outbreak Survive is a new game for GREE, a social network available to Japanese residents for smartphones this coming June. It’s used in a lot of the same ways that Facebook is. Users can share profile pages, photos, and a diary. Recently developers have created blogs, fortune telling websites, news and social games.

Resident Evil: Outbreak is developed by Capcom specifically for this service. It’s set in Raccoon City where you play with friends in your social group. You share weapons and ammo as well as healing items. Then you and your friends complete missions together.

Would Resident Evil on facebook get you to play a social networking game or are they just as non-core as Farmville?

make outbreak file 3 or port over outbreak file 2 in HD remakes with re4 and CVX. Give Outbreak a second chance, fans at capcom unity have been working hard for this to happen. They have reached 20,000 posts in the outbreak thread and it has got 2 million views!
