The Guinness Book of World Records Uses VGChartz

Earlier today, I took a stop by the local bookstore for some light reading. I saw a copy of the Guinness World Records 2010 Gamer's Edition which came out on the 5th of January. I fanned through the pages and noticed the book was filled with game sales records. Guess where the majority of the sales data comes from? You guessed it. VGChartz supplied Guinness with the sales data. Most records do not have citations, but I managed to find this near the end of the book (pictured below).

Anyway, the book is huge considering there are only video game records listed. If you love video games, you will love this book. Some of the records are really wacky and humorous, as well. Post your favorite records in the comments (If you don't have the book, go pick it up!).
Lastly, what do you guys think about trying to break a gaming record at E3 this year? Could we plant VGChartz is gaming history (probably with the help of others)? Everyone should be making their way to Los Angeles in the middle of June anyway for our VGChartz E3 party. Why not try to break a record while we are at it?

This isn't the first time this site has been in the games version of the guiness book of world records.
@Ostro Considering this stat ignores the PC version, I doubt they have gotten much better.
I read these books at school and i like them. Im gonna keep an eye out for Vgchartz in the book.
meh... I was hoping for something more interesting. Like.. Most over the top fanboys or website with the most members that don't get layed. u___u
I only know an older edition was full of mistakes. Old speedrunning WRs all over the place and stuff. Did they do better this time?
I might be wrong... but I have the 2009 edition and I could swear VgChartz is already mentioned there somewhere! I buy this book everyyear, but boy, does it suck! Point records... who cares if one guy did 3.946.332 points in Centipede! Bring on interesting stuff!
Oh man I totally forgot to post this a while ago. but if u look in the 2009 versions its has the record for most sales in one week which I think was GTA 4, and it used vgchartz as a source.
Yippe!!! this site is growing fast. in a couple of years we could be pretty big and challenge heavyweights like IGN.But please even then i would like it to be community based
*clap* *clap* *clap* Kudos VGchartz! IGN, Guinnes, etc... You're the ultimate source! I hope you make a good living off this site because you deserve to :D Good luck becoming a household name! And lol, I actually might be in Los Angeles in the summer this year :D Starting my Acedemic World tour of Graduate studies in the Wonderful World of Finance this summer. No more job, just sweet sweet TAX FREE GRANT MONEY >:D In Sum... Gratz!
Well, I guess the hate for VGChartz might start to subside. Or it just might get stronger. Either way, take that haters at IGN! HA!
VGC was also mentioned in the 2008 edition.....never saw the 2009 edition but they were probably mentioned there as well.
Ill go for E3 2012 lol I'll itll be my last chance to do it and ill be old enough to do it.
I do a deal, in June send me plane tickets from UK to LA (return) and I'll buy a round at a the pub when I get there.
I think VGC should go in the record books for tracking the most record breaking video game sales each week :-D
of all the amazing games why CITE BIOSHOCK'S SALES WHY! FF13 ftw!
