Image of the PlayStation 5 Dev Kit Reportedly Leaked - News
by William D'Angelo , posted on 06 April 2020 / 6,398 ViewsFollowing a release of a render of the PlayStation 5 development kit an actual image of the console has apparently appeared online. YouTube channel ZONEofTECH in a new video has posted an image of the development kit.
The dev kit for the PS5 features the same V shape that was seen in the render. V in Roman Numerals stand for the number five, so the shape could be a nod to the name of the console.
The top left of the front panel features the text "Prototype 1 Not For Sale." There also appears to be six USB ports, as well as an opening where a disc can be inserted.

The PlayStation 5 will launch in Holiday 2020.

If in the end, the design is similar to this I wouldn't mind. Thought it silly at first, but it's grown on me.
@trunkswd - Very true, but I wonder if the design is (as rumored) because of a special cooling system they've implemented and if they might keep the general design. Dev kits are often large featureless boxes as the case doesn't matter...interesting that in this case, there is a design thought up for it.
Discs go where?
Looks a lot uglier than the previous leaks and drawing.
Nice netgear modem. Want it standing vertical though.
It is sexy retro.
It's a film projector. Also ugly.
I just realized that the V in the middle represents 5 xD
I don't really understand why people care about what the dev kit looks like. It doesn't have anything to do with the final appearance of the retail units.
This image is weeks old it, hasn't just been leaked
The middle part is where you keep nachos warm.
