Sony announced earlier it was skipping E3 2019, which is the first time in 24 years PlayStation will not be at the show. Nintendo and Microsoft have released statements that they will be attending the show next year.

"E3 is an outstanding opportunity for us to share new games and experiences with fans and business partners from across the globe," said Nintendo of America president and COO Reggie Fils-Aime. "Every year, we discuss what will be the best way for us to take advantage of the next E3 show in order to bring smiles to people’s faces."

Microsoft's Phil Spencer in a statement said, "E3 is an incredible platform to showcase the vibrancy and creativity of the video game industry. The ESA continues to expand the event’s reach to fans and the industry, both in attendance and online, and we look forward to what’s ahead at E3 2019."

Also confirmed to be at E3 2019 is Activision, Ubisoft, and Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment.

E3 2019 will take place in Los Angeles from June 11 to 13.

I'm pretty sure Sony will come back to E3 after the PS5 reveal, but I could be wrong though.

You can make us cross play together...but you can't make us be at E3 with you!

Be nice to see Nintendo at E3 instead of there Tree House specials. Xbox never really disappoints at E3 while PS 2018 was not entertaining. I think Sony is too spread out with events and probably want to boost there own event like PSX. Similar to Blizzard with Blizzcon. That wouldn't be a bad thing to try.

This E3 Nintendo said they were launching Fortnite on the Switch almost immediately after the show ended, they did and it's now one of the biggest games on the system and the bundle of Fortnite skin pack/Switch is a massive seller for Nintendo.

Just from a Nintendo system point of view, the biggest game they have this year was revealed and released at the show.

I disagree tbh, e3 is more than just some gameplay vids and a trailer or two, it's an event based around our pastime, hate to see any big event like it depart the industry in any way. Imo some tweets are nothing compared to a big show of games at e3
