Nintendo and Microsoft Will Attend E3 2019 - News

by William D'Angelo , posted on 15 November 2018 / 2,845 Views

Sony announced earlier it was skipping E3 2019, which is the first time in 24 years PlayStation will not be at the show. Nintendo and Microsoft have released statements that they will be attending the show next year.

"E3 is an outstanding opportunity for us to share new games and experiences with fans and business partners from across the globe," said Nintendo of America president and COO Reggie Fils-Aime. "Every year, we discuss what will be the best way for us to take advantage of the next E3 show in order to bring smiles to people’s faces."

Microsoft's Phil Spencer in a statement said, "E3 is an incredible platform to showcase the vibrancy and creativity of the video game industry. The ESA continues to expand the event’s reach to fans and the industry, both in attendance and online, and we look forward to what’s ahead at E3 2019."

Also confirmed to be at E3 2019 is Activision, Ubisoft, and Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment.

E3 2019 will take place in Los Angeles from June 11 to 13.

Thanks DualShockers.

Wont be the same without Sony, but Im glad companies still think E3 is relevant at least.

I'm pretty sure Sony will come back to E3 after the PS5 reveal, but I could be wrong though.

You can make us cross play together...but you can't make us be at E3 with you!

Be nice to see Nintendo at E3 instead of there Tree House specials. Xbox never really disappoints at E3 while PS 2018 was not entertaining. I think Sony is too spread out with events and probably want to boost there own event like PSX. Similar to Blizzard with Blizzcon. That wouldn't be a bad thing to try.

After the waste of time everything was last year, I'll be skipping it too. Can't handle the cringe for such little information that isn't released anyway, in thd days leading up to it.

Jesus. What's I say to get so many downvotes. @Ganoncrotch. I'm mainly talking about the show as a whole. The only thing that was actually needed to be watched was MS's show, everything after that could have been read in a bullet point news article or in the case of Sony, a youtube video of the games.

I disagree tbh, e3 is more than just some gameplay vids and a trailer or two, it's an event based around our pastime, hate to see any big event like it depart the industry in any way. Imo some tweets are nothing compared to a big show of games at e3
