by William D'Angelo , posted on 01 October 2018 / 2,362 ViewsSony Interactive Entertainment Worldwide Studios chairman Shawn Layden revealed in the latest PlayStation Blogcast there will be no PlayStation Experience in 2018.
For 2018, I know this is going to be a disappointment to some people, but we have decided not to hold PlayStation Experience. We won’t have it in the States this year," said Layden.

"We’re looking down into 2019 into games like Dreams and Days Gone, but we wouldn’t have enough to bring people all together in some location in North America to have that event," he added.

Hmm call me crazy but I'm starting to think a PS5 reveal might be coming early next year...
I don't think it'll be early next year, I also don't think it would be next year either. 2020 at the earliest.
It just seems really odd to me that Sony is publicly admitting they don't have enough games coming next year to fill a show. Almost like they're pushing a bunch of games to have them launch on both the PS4 and PS5.
Now it is very possible that these 2019 titles could find their way to the PS5, but that'll be 2020. Sony has stated that they don't want to announce games too early anymore.
