Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy has been rated for the Nintendo Switch 2 in Taiwan by the Taiwan Digital Game Rating Committee.

The game first released for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store in October 2021. The Switch version is cloud-only.

Read details on the game below:

Fire up a wild ride across the cosmos with a fresh take on Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy. In this third-person action–adventure game, you are Star-Lord, and thanks to your bold yet questionable leadership, you have persuaded an oddball crew of unlikely heroes to join you. Some jerk (surely not you) has set off a chain of catastrophic events, and only you can hold the unpredictable Guardians together long enough to fight off total interplanetary meltdown.

Use Element Blasters, tag-team beat downs, jet boot-powered dropkicks, nothing’s off-limits. If you think it’s all going to plan, you’re in for a world of surprises, with the consequences of your actions guaranteed to keep the Guardians on their toes. In this original Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy story, you’ll cross paths with powerful new beings and unique takes on iconic characters, all caught in a struggle for the galaxy’s fate. It’s time to show the universe what you’re made of. You got this. Probably.

Lead the Guardians of the Galaxy

You play as Star-Lord, so nothing’s off-limits with your bold combat style, from Element Blasters and jet boot-powered dropkicks to tag-team beat-downs. With the Guardians fighting at your side, call the shots and overwhelm your opponents with signature attacks. Meanwhile, the consequences of your decisions will range from light-hearted to downright unexpected as your journey unfolds.

All-New Story

Your newly-formed band of legendary misfits is set to save the universe in this fresh but faithful take on the Guardians of the Galaxy. Somehow, you set off a chain of catastrophic events, leading to a wild ride through mind-blowing worlds inhabited by iconic and original Marvel characters. Turn up the all-star 80s mixtape and get ready to kick it.

From Misfits to Heroes

You’re the only thing holding the unpredictable Guardians together, so you’ll have to get better at this leadership thing fast. With this offbeat approximation of a family at your side, there will be tears and laughter as you set about tearing into the cosmos together. Whatever’s waiting around the next corner, you know it’s going to be a riot.

Thanks, Gematsu.

Low-key my favourite game of the decade ahead of Tears of the kingdom, Ragnarok, VII R etc.

If you haven't played it give it a chance. Best writing in AAA games in a while. Gameplay is fun and varied, art direction is amazing

Great game and I liked how they did a mash up of 616 and MCU, instead of it being heavily focused on the latter.

Awesome! This game is fantastic! Story is fine. Music is good but not as good as the movies selection. VA is good with a lot of good dialogue even in idle on the ship. Peter is a little too Canadian for a US guy but whatever. Gameplay is really fun and has some great art direction. Like Spider-Man a lot of costumes to find in game. No paid DLC!

This is a game where I just didn’t understand the audience reception. For me the guardians were tiresome as they just constantly bickered with each other. The gameplay was repetitive and a slog as you were just fighting ever larger bullet sponges.

Nice to hear, hopefully we also get a patch with some fixes and fingers crossed Denuvo gets removed on the PC version

Its interesting that ports of games like this which werent huge sales juggernauts have been ported to the Switches. Are they just cheap to do or are they selling more than ine might think?

Well any game that has a PS4 version isn't going to need much optimisation. If it can sell a few 100k lifetime especially at a high price then what it is selling on other platforms, I think that equates to profit for a port. Switch 2 ports also then give other versions of the game a second wind and there is a broader increase of sales on all available platforms. This happened with Star Wars Outlaws for example, suddenly the PS5 version was charting again
