No title or any information at all beyond a confirmation that Tom Nook is in the game and a generic logo, and this is supposed to come out in less than a year? Yeah, they just gave us this as a teaser to hold us over so we wouldn't complain that nothing was shown and stop asking where Animal Crossing is.

Be carefull, every serious and realistic comments that Nintendo fanboy here doesn't want to hear, are rejected with many dislikes.

I'm not saying you're wrong, but keep in mind Smash Bros Ultimate was first revealed with just a small teaser, no title, and no gameplay. Yet, It was officially unveiled a few months later at E3 and it's releasing in December.

Don't get me wrong, I'm happy they gave us the teaser, just like I was happy they gave us the Prime 4 teaser. I like that Nintendo tries to reveal games months before they come out to avoid hyping us for a game that isn't coming out for years and might get cancelled or repeatedly delayed, but sometimes fans need SOMETHING so we don't lose our minds. They've kept Animal Crossing fans waiting for far too long.

I'm hoping this quick teaser with a year until launch means we get lots of details in January, to prepare us for a release in late spring. I still think it deserved to be called out for what it is though, a teaser to silence the ravenous AC fans and to beat back criticisms that "nothing" was shown. Let's hope details are a 3 month wait away like Smash and not a year plus wait with unacknowledged delays like Yoshi.
