Publisher Activision and developer Toys for Bob have delayed Spyro Reignited Trilogy from September 21 to November 13. The game is in development for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

"Everyone here at Toys for Bob is so proud to be reigniting the original Spyro trilogy after all these years, Toys for Bob co-studio head Paul Yan said. We’re deeply committed to getting these games right, so we’ve decided to move the release date of Spyro Reignited Trilogy to November 13, 2018.

"I really hoped that you would be rescuing dragons and scorching Rhynocs sooner, but the Trilogy needs more love and care. In November when you’re exploring the Dragon Realms, Avalar and the Forgotten Worlds, we know you’ll agree the extra time was worth the wait."

Spyro Reignited Trilogy includes remastered versions of Spyro the DragonSpyro 2: Ripto’s Rage! and Spyro: Year of the Dragon.

To actually have all 3 games on one disc? lol

That had better be at least one reason to this.

I came here to say just this. The backlash must have gotten to them. If all three are not on the disk at this point, they have no excuse.

Knowing Activision it'll still release with only 1/3 games on the actual disc

If that happens then they can keep it.

No problem, Spiderman and Dragon Quest XI are coming for PlayStation 4 in the next weeks !!!! And Yakuza Kiwami 2 of course.

Masked_Muchaco (on 17 August 2018)

Now if only Square Enix could delay DQXI in the West, releasing the game only 3 days before Spider-Man is basically asking for it to flop.

Shiken (on 17 August 2018)

Two totally different games with two different audiences. It will do fine.

We'll see about that.

i agree. I think that's why they delayed spyro. Alot of people will overlook DQ11 because of spiderman.

Not getting it anyway. They've litterally changed nothing but the visuals and focused to heavily on that trying to recreate everything to a tee without the source code. If they'd have made some effort to add something to the somewhat boring gameplay I'd be in, the game was great in the 90s but today it would just be purely mundane. Crash was just about threading that line but im unifying the three games core gameplay along with the games being more geared for trophy hunters and a challenge they got away with it. Spyro has none of that, it's bland and repetitive. A remaster built purely off nostalgia will not have the same success. Here's hoping they take the extra time to add in more challenges and extra content ... even post release, then I may buy.
