Platinum Games Wants to Release The Wonderful 101 on Switch - News
by William D'Angelo , posted on 20 April 2018 / 3,545 ViewsPlatinum Games wants to release the Wii U title The Wonderful 101 on the Nintendo Switch, according to the studio's Atsushi Inaba and Hideki Kamiya.
"We're going to knock the audience participation up a bit," said Kamiya. "They're still trying to negotiate with Nintendo whether a possible Wonderful 101 Switch release could happen but it always helps when the people in the audience at Reboot clap if they'd actually buy a Switch version of Wonderful 101. So anybody who would buy that, please clap..."
The whole room ended up clapping.
"From their perspective obviously there are things they can't talk about, about dealings they have with Nintendo," said Atsushi. "Certainly they can say everything they said during the speech, which was, 'Hey, we should do that.' But whether that is a 'we are going to do that', and what the likelihood is of that happening, is just going to have to be something you wait to find out."

I’m hoping they do port it over. I never ended up playing it on the Wii U and I would buy it.
Never played it on Wii U, so I would definitely want this on Switch!
Yes, please, DO IT!!!
It will bw the best game to use the touch screen control!
I'd go with Zombi U, Splatoon and of course, Mario Maker for the distinction of best use of touch controller. Splatoon is flat out gimped without it.
Awesome game. It deserves a remake so more people can experience it.
That would be awesome!
Would love a Switch port of The Wonderful 101. Wouldn't be that difficult to change over the controls, since the Wii U version had Pro Controller support.
i like that idea.. never played it.. but it should be gem
I never got to try that one as I prefer physical releases and by the time I got a Wii U with the MK8 bundle they weren't carrying them anywhere. I'd love to have it on the Switch.
For those of us who own a Wii U and still have it hooked up AND own all the best games for it, these announcements are so hallow. I know some of you think buying the same thing twice is worth it just for the ability to play in handheld mode or added convenience etc. but I do not. Like I said, I'm sitting here right now, typing this and looking at my Wii U and its games. I can literally SEE Wonderful 101. There's no point in buying it again. If I want to play it, I can walk over there right now and do so.
One of my favourite Wii U games, very underrated. I would probably buy it again, but not sure how they would do without the touch screen when docked. I couldn't get on drawing the shapes with the analogue sticks.
This was the first game I thought of when there was first talk of Wii ah games getting ported to Switch...
I had my issues with the game, but the characters are endearing and deserve the chance to grow...
It must have been so frustrating for Platinum to put so much work into this game only to have Nintendo bury it...
It's hard to get excited about this when the games industry is moving so fast. So many great new games coming out and they're hyping up a port. I am glad others can play this game but really I'm more interested in Bayonetta 3. They've been hyping W101 and Bayonetta ports since last year in fact, before the announcement of the Bayonetta collection even.
I'm glad that people are interested in it. But, I'm with you. I can't get excited about a game from years ago.

I want new games. But that's just me. I'm weird.
I want both.
You guys act as if making ports doesn't require any effort or time. Making one port takes several months. If all the manpower/hours put into all those (Wii U) ports would actually be used for new games, Switch would get more than 3 original games per year and they would arrive faster. And more would actually exists than in ''planning'' stages.
I'm pretty sure smaller teams are used to bring Wii U games to the Switch than for new games.
