Just last week it was announced the game would be getting a release on iOS and Android.

Wonder how this is going to run in docked/mobile mode.

Doesn't the game still have optimization and performance problems? How are they going to fit it for the Switch if they are still working on the main PC version and the other consoles?

Wow, I honestly thought it wouldn't simply because on my rather stout PC that I built for 4k and the HTC Vive it still only ran OK, not great... before the upgrades it was really stuttering. I suppose that was while it was still technically in Beta, but porting this to the Switch will be one heck of a challenge. Hopefully they succeed!

Ark running in portable, looks smooth, but will have to see in more active areas https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6B6kJm5pOx8

There's footage of the Switch version online already. It's got exactly the same template as the ps4 xb1 versions and it's running close to 30fps in most instances according to the developer. I'm actually excited! This might just be rhw game that proves anything can be ported over to switch.

Well, it's settled: If the Switch can run this unoptimized beast, it's not too underpowered for the next COD.

iOS and Android will get a version as well, why not the switch?

Well, that was unexpected.

I watched a post from SuperMetalDave64 and SpawnWave. Apprarently the dev porting the game over feels that the hardware isn't so much an issue, as is the cart cost and having to fit it on a 16g cart. Still, quite unexpected, indeed.

Wait, people actually like these sort of comments? I find that rather sad. And there's a whole section of the site who wonder why the Switch doesn't get full 3rd party support.

It's a pretty funny comment. Don't have to take it seriously

Well maybe my sense of humour is broken then because it reads more as bitchy than funny to me.

The game itself is no fun or not worth a playthrough...or it's terrible because of performance issues that could potentially be resolved? I know people that have been playing it for quite a while and enjoy it, but I have not played it myself.
