Report: Miitomo Makes an Estimated $280K in Weekly Revenue - News

Nintendo released its first mobile app, Miitomo, last month, and now SurveyMonkey has released its findings which point to a very successful launch.
Currently the app has around 4 million monthly active users and 1 million daily active users. The firm estimates that the app is currently making around $280,000 each week, with 80% of that revenue coming from iOS devices and the other 20% from Android devices.
Overall, the app has been downloaded 2.6 million times, with two thirds of those downloads being on iOS devices and the rest on Android devices.

For an app that does very little to ask the user for money, this is actually sort of impressive.
definitely not a huge money maker for Nintendo- this sort of number is insignificant to the revenue that comes in from video games. Miitomo doesn't really have features to get people to pay much at any rate, it certainly is more of a concept to pull people into the Nintendo name rather than make money
If Nintendo get alot pf success here i wonder what else we'll see from them on smart phones in the future
