Report: Nintendo NX to Enter Mass Production in Q2 2016, to Ship 10-12M in 2016 - News
by William D'Angelo , posted on 30 November 2015 / 7,522 ViewsNintendo will begin mass production of its upcoming NX platform in the second quarter of 2016, according to a report by DigiTimes.
The report states that Nintendo is targeting to ship 20 million units of the NX in 2016. However, the upstream component suppliers expect Nintendo to ship between 10 million and 12 million units. It's worth remembering that these are figures that the Wii U has achieved in roughly three years.
Foxconn Technology, Macronix, Pixart Imaging, Coxon Precise Industrial, Nishoku Technology, Delta Technology, Lingsen Precision Industries, and Jentech will all supply components for the upcoming platform.
Very little is known about the platform at this time, but if it does enter mass production in the second quarter of 2016 that would give it a likely release window of holiday 2016.

Well if true Nintendo's showing some balls
E3 2016 can't come quickly enough!
Pretty ambitious numbers if true.
We hear this now and don't even know what the damn thing even is!
They better come out all guns blazing than in terms of launch titles.
Zelda Wii U, Pikmin 4, next 3D Mario, Pokémon Gen 7, just off the top of my head
Well. Either this confirms that there is a handheld component, which confirms the hybrid Fusion system.
Or Nintendo has a lot of balls... or not a lot of brains... I sure hope they know what they're doing.
It seems Nintendo is going for the best bang for your buck approach to their next console. Also after looking into the component suppliers, cartridge gaming looks to be a possibility with the new hardware.
Also I'm sure Nintendo have realised the problems with disc data transfer speeds for open world games like Zelda Wii U and Xenoblade X so removing the need for game installs from disc would be a plus.
I still think 2017,this is a rumour till confirmed
Yes. In any case, if 2016, surely not Q2; will be Q4, at best.
What a load of crap. Im sorry i cannot take this seriously.

Read it and tell me Digitime reliable or not
If this is true, then surely it means an early in the year release. No way they ship 10 million with a September or later release. I hope so too, I'm ready to put my wiiu to rest.
Yeah, if this rumor is true, then it's def a handheld. Since Sony pretty much abandoned this market, Nintendo can now take the whole cake!
But be careful tho, don't make the same mistake like Kodak.
So its going to be cheap and handheld and console versions it looks like
Funny how we don't even know anything about it. This feels like marrying a person you've never met.
If they want to ship 32 million in the time PS4 sold about 20, then it must be cheap is fuck.
I'm assuming you mean sold cheap and not that it lacks in quality .
Oh yeah I'm not referring to the quality, simply just 'inexpensive'
