1.4 billion games have been played and seven billion zombies have been vanquished. The most popular plant is the Peashooter, while the most popular zombie is the Foot Soldier.

The sequel, Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare 2, launches in February for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows PC.

People in the comments are right, this game is better then splatoon but splatoon is a good game that is on a console lacking games so it makes sence that it gets special attention

EA are great at giving useless statistics. I got this game for free on ps4 so I count. They're good at inflating their numbers

I don't know, it says players. So if you have never actually launched the game I am not sure they would "know" you had it or count you. shrug

This dosnt mean much.In the first PSExperience, this game was given for free, so many of those players could have been from those that got it for free.
