A new Japanese trailer for Splatoon has revealed that a new Rainmaker Mode is coming to the game.

You can view the trailer below:

The trailer also showcases new weapons (including an ink mini-gun), clothing, and two new maps.

Splatoon launched exclusively on the Wii U back in May and has proved a commercial success for Nintendo, crossing the 1 million sold mark back in June.

probably we don't even know 1/4 of the new content coming in August, I can't wait to know how open the game will be to the multiplayer with friends since I don't think we already know everything about it :v

This update looks awesome! I was wondering why I kept seeing Miiverse posts about an update. Also, that Japanese narrator in the trailer sounded hilarious. XD
