Glitch Blocks Progress in Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed - News
by Brent Galietti , posted on 18 November 2012 / 4,421 ViewsMany people across the internet are reporting that there is a glitch early on in the Wii U version of Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed's career mode. The challenge in question is the Roulette Rush boost challenge, where the player is timed, does not lose time while boosting, and must reach checkpoints in order to add extra time to the counter. However, the checkpoints do not appear on the track, making it impossible to complete the mission normally. This blocks further progress in Career mode.
We've confirmed the glitch here at gamrReview. It occurs even when the game is updated completely (as of the evening of November 18th). It does not appear that this glitch is present in the PlayStation 3 or Xbox 360 versions of the game, but we cannot confirm that at this time.
Below is a video of the glitch.
Currently, the only workaround is to purposefully fail the mission four times on C Class. This will allow the player to skip the mission and advance career mode.
We're certainly hopeful that Sega and Sumo Digital will address the problem and patch it out soon.
UPDATE: Sega has stated that they are looking into the problem.
