Charles Dance is the Emperor in The Witcher 3 - News

Not long after putting their new trailer out, CD Projekt RED announced that Charles Dance will be voicing Emhyr var Emreis, Emperor of Nilfgaard, in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. Yes, that Charles Dance. Tywin Lannister.

"Charles Dance is the perfect candidate to play the mighty Nilfgaardian emperor in our upcoming title," says Marcin Blacha, Lead Writer for The Witcher 3. "It’s a dream come true for the team here at RED to be able to work with such an accomplished actor and magnetic personality."

As well as his appearance in HBO's Game of Thrones, Dance is a veteran of many films and televisions shows and - like any good British actor - tends to be typecast as a villain. Does this mean that the Emperor is going to be the game's Big Bad? Very possibly. However it goes down, it'll be great to hear his voice.
