China Set to Lift Ban on Games Consoles - News

It looks like China is about to lift its long-time ban of video games consoles as part of a new set of rules issued Friday for a new free-trade zone in Shanghai.
Foreign companies - including console manufacturers - that operate within this new trade zone will be able to sell their products across China, pending approval by the Chinese Ministry of Culture.
These changes are set to take place over the next three years, although no date for the official commencement of sales of video game consoles is currently known.
