Hands up who wants to relive their first day at school over and over again! Yeah, I didn't think so. Well, it's from this particularly horrifying concept that a horror game takes its cues.

Arc System Works, the team responsible for the BlazBlue series, is working on a visual novel called Getsuei Academy, which is apparently based on a story penned by Tomokazu Sugita, the voice actor of BlazBlue anti-hero Ragna the Bloodedge.

The plot revolves around a young lad named Hiroshi Toyama, who has transferred back to a school called Getsuei Academy, only to be warned on his first day that there are terrible man-eating ghosts that haunt the school. He brushes it off and, naturally, gets attacked by the mysterious demonic entity "Hazard" and murdered by fellow student Eri Mitsuki.

The next day, he wakes up alive and well… except that the "next day" is actually the same day that he transferred and died.

Any plot that involves ghosts, time travel and horror is good by me, so hopefully this will make it to the west.

Getsuei Academy will be released on the PlayStation Vita on the 10th of October. Currently, there's (say it with me, boys and girls) no western release planned. We can hope, though; this plot sounds way too good not to make it over here.
