[UPDATE] Watch Dogs on Wii U Delayed, Not Cancelled - News

UPDATE: Watch Dogs is currently scheduled to be released between April to June of this year on all platforms except Wii U. Regarding the Wii U version's delay, CEO Yves Guillemot said “We made the difficult decision to further delay the release of Watch Dogs on Wii U to focus the team’s resources where they could have the broadest possible benefit for both our customers and Ubisoft."

ORIGINAL STORY: With the Wii U continuing to struggle in the marketplace, there has been buzz about the Wii U version of Watch Dogs being scrapped. Ubisoft today announced that the open-world hacking game will still release on Nintendo's console, but it will not release at the same time as the other versions (PS3, 360, Xbox One, PS4, PC).

Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot confirmed the news during today's investor call but did not specify a date for the Wii U version of Watch Dogs.  We'll update this story when we receive more information.
