Google Removing "Free" Label from Free to Play Games - News

Google has announced that it will stop labelling free-to-play games with in-app purchases as "free" on its Google Play Store. This follows a European Commission report recommending companies like Apple and Google better inform their customers.
The change has already been implemented in Europe, with games like Angry Birds no longer displaying a price tag or "free" next to their rating, as can be seen below:
Apple has so far avoided any outright plans to stop naming free-to-play games as "free", but has implemented stricter parental controls to try and combat the problem of children purchasing too much in-app content.
